What is the AHU Filter?
The AHU filter is one part of the HVAC system, which functions to filter, control, control the amount of dust or foreign particles such as organisms in the air before entering the room. This AHU filter usually has several types depending on the level of efficiency in filtering particles or dust.
How Does The AHU Work?
The AHU system works by sucking back air from the room (Return Air) which is then mixed with air from outside (Fresh Air) in Mixing Air. Then the resulting mixed air will be filtered by a filter so that micro-organisms and foreign particles can be filtered out and result in cleaner air being produced. After that, the supply air will pass through the cooling coil (Evaporator) which will reduce the temperature and humidity (RH) of the air. Then, the air will be pumped by the blower so that it reaches the rooms that will be conditioned through the supply duct (Supply Duct) evenly. Part of the air from the rooms will be discharged and part of it (Return Air) will be mixed with Fresh Air which will be reprocessed by AHU.
